Xbox one controller issue
Every time I want to play this I must do following:

1. Start the game
2. Quit the game
3 Go Steam - game - properties - controller - change "use default settings" to "disable steam input" or vice versa if setting is other way around.

Annoying. That happens only with this game.

So what happens if you don't do that? Controller not working at all or giving false input?

Here are some possible things to do also, let me know if any of those help or don't help. It is odd if Steam does not remember the settings you do to it so I am interested in hearing how to fix that!

It behaves like i continuously push and release acceleration. Looks like I have kangaroos in gas tank.

Interesting, even if you don't do anything or could it be that when you e.g. steer, it is also interpreted as gas or brake? Anyway, did you try if any of the suggested steps in the document above helps?

I guess the problem is that Steam tries to be "helpful" and maps the controller input to something else from what it originally is. Why it wants to do that I don't know but some of the steps above might help.

I am also having weird problems with controller. I am using a logitech f310 xbox controller. It works great with my other games. This game seems to think I have another xbox controller attached. It also thinks a am continuously turning left when the game starts. I have to fight the game to keep the car on the road. I have the latest update. I had a similar problem on a recent game I tried on steam - broodstar

Did you already try the suggestions on this page?

https://www.turbosliders.com/help/controllers

Unfortunately, there are various things that can go wrong since depending on your Steam settings, Steam may also try to add its sometimes unneeded emulation layer. Sometimes, getting ghost input might also mean it is getting that from some other controller (or a device that has been registered as a controller for some compatibility reasons).

Do you only see that one controller in Settings->Controllers? Anyway, to get faster support, I suggest coming to Discord: https://discord.gg/QCHEsuwQwT

I understand, I will try game on my new laptop and see if it behaves the same. It's just anoying . It should just work if I am using a standard Logitech controller. Will look through suggestions.

Same problem here +1 thanks for the workaround@focalpro

Same -- it's like the analogue controls (triggers and sticks) are pulsing on/off. That, and the game itself does not "see" the connected controller, despite it actually recognising it (it works beyond the "pulsing issues).

Do you have any other USB controller attached to the machine? Sometimes, they are sending input that Steam or Unity input system interprets as input.

Does anything here help? https://www.turbosliders.com/help/controllers

If you want to get quicker help, you can come to Discord, too, and we can discuss this live.
