The Dread X Collection 3 is honestly kinda awesome! I wouldn't really call this game really THAT scary, but rather it kinda just focusses on being charming and fun with a little spooky theme! Something it achieves very nicely with its hub world and the overall aesthetics of the game itself! The games themselves are all at the very least quality and all feel pretty polished without any like bad low lights like in DXC2. They're kinda fun to just play, blast through and experience and there's some gems in there too!

Reviewing all the games individually...:

Very strong visually and is GREAT at building it's short story and atmosphere but the ending changes the vibe of the game completely which wasn't my cup of tea. It's a good bite sized horror game though.

Short and so very sweet. Incredible Artwork and Animations, so much charm and a simple but AWESOME twist halfway through.

A funky platformer, with some combat mechanics. Visually quite strong and is honestly quite fun, but isn't tight at all to control and feels kinda directionless at times. It's more just turn your brain off and have fun rather than spooky.

Might be the most unsettling and genuinely kinda scary horror game of this collection. It nails it's atmospheric vibes, to cute, to unsettling, to downright terrifying, to edgy and awesome! It's a good experience and a perfect fit for this collection. Frick apples!

Extremely impressive with it's surreal visual style and environment, but the game itself is just a simple ice cream serving simulator. Good spectacle but could have more "game to it".

This game is AWESOME, Amazing artwork, fun writing for the opening cutscene, the music is jamming and the microgames are such a burst of fun. This game is so good for the 10 minutes that it got me to look into the other Spookware games!

A cute simple and lighthearted platformer, honestly reminds me of much a less polished and fleshed out cavern of Dreams. Not that serious, not scary at all really, just a fun collectathon.

Really impressive aesthetically and raising your little pets is simple fun. Nothing really scary about this game, it's honestly more relaxing than anything.

Really impressive and honestly a little bit of a sad story featuring a nice robo gf. The mostly monochromatic style is really well done and it's atmosphere is kinda top notch for what it goes for.

Probably my least favorite game of the collection? It's not awful, in fact the visuals are pretty charming to some extent, but the game kinda feels directionless? It doesn't really explain its mechanics all that well either so you waste time revisiting the same places over and over again once you finally figure out how everything works. Nothing really gets resolved either. It's polished I guess, but I didn't like it that much.

Overall, a really solid collection of short spooky horror games! Honestly ended up preferring this to DXC2!
