I initially refunded the game a few months ago, it was not worth the price tag at the time. I bought it again a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised with the progress and can recommend the game now. They also have multiplayer coming and if they add a custom map editor the game could become a great multiplayer game as well.

I can't get past the 5th mission difficulty spike. I dunno i can play other rts but this is just too hard. No difficulty options so i guess thats it for me. I dont have the time or patience to "git gud" when i can just play something else.

Ehh.. The game suffers from not really knowing where the enmy is coming until the day before, or two days earlier if you're lucky. Early waves are vastly different than later waves, no unit upgrades simply make it spamming stuff to delay and hold them off. I get that's the point, but it gets to a point where a few crushers will just break everything and ti becomes about slowly destroying them via multiple walls at a time; on multiple fronts. It woulnd't be so bad if you didn't get attacked on every front at once, and needed to have multi-layer defenses. Not being able to stack resources throughout the game (limited storage) makes it suffer.

Played this a few years ago when it launched into early access, thought it was fun.

Tried to jump back in to see all the changes added over the past few years. The game crashes when trying to launch the campaign, despite the fact the it all worked fine before.

This might be worth checking out once it leaves early access and they iron the bugs out, but for now? Hold on to your money, even if you see it on discount.

This game is trying to successfully mix what made Warcraft 3 and They Are Billions as popular and successful as they were. But the combat is too slow, the unit AI is poor: attacking useless walls and nonimportant buildings an an attack move rather than hostile units, forcing you to micro manage your units to hit the enemy that is hitting THEM when you attack a hostile base.

If the game could be sped up instead of just paused, it'd be a big shift into playable territory, but I have not found an option to do so.

The voice acting is quite good though, and the graphics/artstyle are excellent, so it is a shame the gameplay itself is so lackluster.

It's also not the most stable game out there, and load times are longer than I think they ought to be. I experienced 2 crashes over the course of my time with it

Some missions are retarded and with updates became more so. act 2 mission 5. Love this style of game though so ive spent 30 hours on that mission...

Like TaB and Dota had a baby

Its a good game. Unfortunately, it takes an hour to find that out. I played a great game recently, (Cataclismo), and about 30 minutes in I was like I don't know about this. 60 seconds later, i was like "Oh! This is cool as ♥♥♥♥!" Because of that experience the day before, i gave this an extra chance. I was feeling the same way 45 minutes into this campaign, so i just switched to survival mode instead, and 10 minutes later you get a timer for an event, an invasion attack sort of thing, and its like "Oh! This is cool as ♥♥♥♥!" This game is very good. Campaign is a Janky Warcraft 3, which is a good thing if you like that, I do, But survival is the way to play this.

It's okay.

The good:
Typical campaign story and good characters with voice acting.
Graphics are okay.
Difficulty is good.

The bad:
Far too many limits - limit in resources held - really limited construction areas - not many buildings to choose.

Not a game I would spend a fortune on and it's one of those I bought and never got round to playing so I couldn't get a refund.

Short campaign.

Buy on offer - I know it is still Early Access..

Has a lot of potential if they added:
1) got rid of the limits or improved the ability to expand.
2) bigger areas to build
3) more choice in buildings
4) longer campaign
5) ability to choose different factions in campaign
6) quality control - things like notifications of Hero being attacked or low on HP.

Did you really just sequel hook a game in Early Access?
