LudoNarraCon Official Selection & Our First Public Demo

We’re excited to share that The Séance of Blake Manor is an Official Selection of LudoNarraCon and will be featured as part of the narrative steam festival from 1st – 5th May 2025.

Alongside the event we will be opening the doors to Blake Manor and inviting you to join the guests and staff as our first public demo goes live on 30th April.

You’ll be able to explore the Manor, learn more about the staff and guests of the mysterious hotel and begin your investigation into the disappearance of Evelyn Deane.

The demo will be available until 5th May, so make sure to check it out while it’s available.

Question about interactions

This feels like a bug to me. Every time an item has an option to look at it or use it, clicking on it does nothing. I can open drawers and enter the hotel, but otherwise it seems I'm not able to interact with anything, like the desk bell on the hotel lobby. I suppose I should see some text descriptions from looking at books or when I try to use the bell....

We've just announced The Séance of Blake Manor at The Mix with a brand new trailer, along with a full store revamp, updated screenshots, name change....and a publisher. On St Patrick's Day, no less!

Spooky Doorway are delighted to reveal we're working with Raw Fury to bring you our next game and it's coming along splendidly.

The Séance of Blake Manor is a supernatural detective mystery, set in 1897 Ireland, where you investigate the disappearance of Evelyn Deane in a remote hotel full of secrets and other-worldly occurrences.

As Detective Declan Ward, you’ll interview and interrogate an eclectic group of suspects to learn more about their motivations and unearth any clues they may be hiding.

While building a case, you'll get to record the details in Declan’s journal, then use your findings to uncover the truth about Blake Manor, its residents, and the mysterious séance that has brought these unusual guests together.

But you'll need to be careful, as every action counts down your time and you'll need to be in the right place at the right time to uncover all of the secrets the manor holds.

Inspired by Irish Mythology and the spiritualist movements of the Victorian era, The Séance of Blake Manor is depicted by a beautiful comic-book art style and comes to you from the creators of The Darkside Detective.

We've been working on this for a long time and are delighted to finally share some new updates. You'll be hearing a lot more about Blake Manor in the weeks and months ahead, but for now, here's some key details to get you started.

From what I was able to play, the game looks very interesting! I like the time mechanic, as well as the event reminder system. Unfortunately, I had two major issues: Some investigate-able items were completely black and almost impossible to see. First seen when I looked at the statue outside, even the pop-ups were basically all black. The jack o lanterns as well. The biggest issue was opening the drawer behind the reception desk, I only realised there was a clipboard by carefully moving my mouse around i...
