What do you mean by real time countdowns? The only real time counter is the one in the main menu and that's only kept as statistics and counts for two achievements (total run time achievements) and nothing else. The encounter time counter is not in real time. I'd like to hear more details about your thoughts on this.

I will go ahead and make it stop on the esc menu and add explanation that it is informational and does not affect gameplay.

I have only received positive feedback about Daemon moving in the map in real time (not in the esc menu) but I'd like to hear your thoughts on this too. It's the one thing I can think of in the game as moving in real time. We can add a Daemon-less mode if it will help you enjoy the game more.

If you had any other concerns, please let me know. Thank you for your feedback!

One of the first or second rooms I hit in The Streets, I came across a bloodied mascot suit, apparently whoever in it doesn't have long to live, and my loadout didn't include any of the things needed to help them. A big red timer came on the screen, smack dab in the middle, counting down. Okay, weird to not have it be a turn based thing, since I can just whip through animations and the like, but it's basically a resident evil game we're playing here in roguelike/STS format, so I can wrap my head around it as A Decision. 20 minute timer is generous as is, if I'm unplugging from the emotional reaction.

So I pause it and go get coffee... Only to see the timer is still counting down in the esc menu. That's just nine kinds of not acceptable.

The idea of your Mr X guy explicitly breaking the game rules is kind of neat, actually, especially since he causes aggressive amounts of screen glitching even though I'd turned those things off.

Right, that's what you mean! Thanks for the clarification. That's easy enough to fix.

Those event timers are now no longer real time. They will progress with steps and with the encounter time. Now the game is completely turn based. We are worthy! :steamhappy:

You know I was reading this post thinking "What? That didn't count down unless I made a move." Now I see why! This was a good choice.
