Will a single player mode be added?
I know the game is pretty much dead and this question likely answered up and down the hill but I am just curious if the devs will ever put a single played mode people will be able to play offline

No. Bcof was never designed to have a true single player mode and is no longer being updated regardless. You can follow the steam guide of how to set up your own server on your computer and play off of that though which is basically single player.

No, it really wasn't. Bcof was only ever designed to be multiplayer. There are 10+ years of FSE dev blogs backing that up on the forums. There was never a promise. The closest you got was a roadmap that had single player as a goal along with 15 other things. Single player was attempted but didn't work since just about every game function was designed to connect to a server.

If there were 10+ years of posts about how this was only ever meant to be multiplayer then the only conclusion I can draw is the promise of single player was a lie to sell copies. You’re saying they knew it wasn’t going to happen but posted it anyway?

I pulled up the roadmap from 2022/2023, there was supposedly a campaign which would habe been neat to see.
