I have played the Mass Effect series 5 or so times in my life. This was one of my favorite game series to play while growing up. Being able to play the entire series again has been insanely fun and a great use of time in my life. Excusing a couple of DLCs here and there that I wasn't able to play when I was younger, I remember this game like the back of my hand and it has been a treat to revisit.

All of this to be said; I had never played all of the DLC's in the third game and I didn't know what I was missing.

The Citadel DLC in Mass Effect 3 has easily become my favorite part of this series by far. I wish I had played it sooner. The insane switch to a more comedic, lighthearted experience in the Mass Effect universe was jarring at first, but I quickly came around to enjoy it so much. It genuinely made me laugh at times, and being able to play with characters that you haven't seen much in this game was really nostalgic in a way. The scene where you fight with everyone was really cool to experience as well.

But I think my favorite part about this DLC had to be the Party. Being able to mingle with everyone, see how characters that never met interact with each other. My heart felt so full and happy the morning after. After I had talked to everyone with their hangovers, I felt a sense of peace and calm. Something you rarely get in this series. It felt like waking up at a sleepover with your friends, and it was a feeling that genuinely made me say to myself "Damn, I wish I didn't have to leave this moment."

The next time I play this series again, it will be for that moment.

Amazing series. Everybody should play these games. 10/10 forever.

Forcing people to use the EA app to play these is a bit much.
Sounds like EA isn't forcing it in the future though, with some upcoming Dragon Age game.

The games in Legendary Edition are fine minus the ME1 broken eyes. I'd recommend it if you never played the series before.
