I mainly persisted with this game for the lesbians, and I was glad I did cause there were moments where I enjoyed this game. The last quarter of the game when I had unlocked Kiri's Dash Slash and Rising Slash were insanely fun, despite the fact that I didn't really get a lot of levels to really feel like I was playing with Kiri's moveset to its full potential and fun. Sadly, Yuzu was a totally different story. There are times where she feels absurdly slippery for what the game demands of you. For instance in I think World 2 there is a level towards the back half (since I'd unlocked at least two Kiri abilities by then) that heavily relies on mushrooms over a constant pit and Yuzu's momentum doesn't halt when she hits the ground all the time even if you press no directions, so you'd sometimes fall off the mushrooms into the pit with no player input error. There were other stages like I think 3-3 where if you swim on the upwards path you just lose whatever powerup you have because on a blind run you don't realise that the block just blocks you long enough for the ghost chasing you to hit you because it moves slower than any other block you've seen in this game.
In general, I think this game has a very bad habit of things happening offscreen that give you no time to react to on a first run so you take unnecessary damage. I compare this to a game like Fallen Leaf which is taken more from Megaman-esque platformers where you are trying to play carefully and analyse things so you're preparing for things to suddenly appear. Meanwhile, Kitsune Tails is designed to go fast, so the lack of precision and things appearing from offscreen with no warning tend to just create a frustrating experience where it feels like you're wrestling for control over the game.

However, and I do stress this a lot, there are lesbians in this game, and that pulled me through the whole game. One of the lesbians has a sword.

A very cute and very gay game. It's a great time. The potential for slick movement in Act 2 is genuinely insane and honestly half my playtime probably came just from trying to do really slick tricks. It's good. Play it. Or I'll KILL you that's right I'm going to KILL you if you don't play Super Lesbian Mario Brothers 3 RIGHT NOW

Overall I had fun with the game, very SMB3-style plateformer with a cute a sweet story. However I feel like there's a good margin for improvement on certain elements. A good game but needs better to be a great game.

- The game is rather short (not very surprising for a game of this kind), but I feel it could do a little more. Particularly some levels designed for Kiri's abilities (she's fun to play with but needs more challenge to make it more satisfying).
- Difficulty was fine for the most part, besides a few though jumps in the game. The controls worked fine.
- Bosses could use a little more polish and pattern to put you in danger and avoid safe spots.
- A few issues with camera that tends to be too much on the left, when we need to see more on the right (especially with moving plateforms).
- Graphics are pretty for those who like the charm of pixels.

Overall fun little game.
