Hi. Has anyone tried this game on Steam deck? Is it ok?

Just starting to play this online with a friend. Seems like it take many manual retries to get into my game, and then it doesn't seem to update when my opponent takes a turn. So once I manage to get a game started, I need to exit the game after each turn and then wait until I get an email saying it's my turn. Needless to say, this experience kinda sucks. Wondering if this is what everyone experiences, or if there are maybe some tips and tricks for helping it work better?...
