Sound design is great and really creeped me out on a couple of occasions.

But imagine making a metroidvania without making exploration feel rewarding. Found 3 weapons, 2 of which I couldn't use. Found a buttload of spells, which, believe it or not, I also couldn't use without heavily investing in a stat I have no interest in (no respecs btw). Found a total of 5 bosses, with two of them being the same enemy but using a different element. Oh, and they also turned a former boss into a random field enemy. It hasn't even been six hours man.

In short: One of the most boring and uninspired metroidvanias I've played over the years. Banking on Bloodborne vibes isn't enough guys.

Great game! It's Dark Souls à la Blasphemous. If you like those games, you can buy.

I had a good time with this, though I will say some of the bosses and combat are a bit grindy depending on which class you chose in the begining. My biggest gripe is that at a certain point near end game, you lock yourself out of all sidequests, and can't go back and do them. I hate that about souls likes, and wish that trope would die, as it discourages going back to complete everything. This would have been fun to get every achievement in, but I'm not replaying up til that point just to do those things again. I did enjoy my time with it ,but would love if that was something that was fixed, so that you can't lock yourself out of those quests, or it at least would warn you you can't do those quests if you continue.
