sometimes nvidia does this...
i bought my new computer in 2022, usually realtek chipset on motherboard is the source of sound, but on windows 11 it did not work.
luckily i could get audio from hdmi cable, but sometimes the nvidia card as source of audio gave cracking noises... especially after wake up from suspend...
now i no longer get does noises... did you update your video card drivers ?
also update realtek drivers if you use those, check for your motherboard files: audio
