It's so cozy and sweet!

"A Highland Song" is a mix between a platformer and a walking sim. Your uncle asks you to travel to him in his lighthouse by the day of Beltane. And you have to go cross country through the highlands to reach him and the sea. So the gameplay is managing your stamina while climbing, identifying tracks and peaks and a rythm minigame at certain parts to Scottish folk music and running with a deer. The game is about the journey, not the destination.

The things I really liked about the game: the music of course. And the presentation of the environment. And the small bits and pieces of folk legends and tales that are mentioned from time to time.

Very minor spoilers to maybe ease the anxiety of your first journey: don't worry about the time limit to reach the lighthouse. And as I've said, this game is especially about the journey and not the destination. And don't worry if you cannot identify all of the peaks and maps, you can reach the lighthouse without solving most of them

Absolutely wonderful game. I can't really explain well why I am still thinking about it. Amazing atmosphere and lovely setting, chill but also tense, mysterious and touching. Highly recommended!
