Font Hard to Read

Hello, are there any options for increasing the readability of the font? Something about the way it is rendered makes it very difficult to read. I think it's the way the blocky pixel text is kind of... stretched? Not sure exactly. It's definitely big enough, but trying to read the letters the way they are gives me a headache.

Any updates on this? I'd love to play but I it hurts my eyes to read the text for more than a few minutes at a time. Was hoping to pick up Coromon for myself and some buddies this holiday season but with the text being the way it is I can't justify it.
