Hello Wobblies,

Welcome to the Big Screen update!

It’s that time of year, snow is falling and Wobbly Island is looking festive. We’re huddled inside in the warmth still working hard on v1.0 and are so excited for you to see it next year!

But in the meantime this update brings a few festive treats for you to enjoy, including a revamped Temple, more NPCs, more performance updates, more secrets and something special in the city for you all to enjoy. We hope you all enjoy it, happy holidays!

Movie Magic

Have you ever seen a movie poster in Wobbly Life and wished that it was real? Well your wish has now come true!

The cinema in the city has had a revamp with a new selection of movies for you to watch. There’s action, adventure, romance and comedy on offer. So grab some popcorn, take a seat and enjoy a whole new world of Wobbly cinema!

Temple

The jungle temple was one of the first major levels we added to the game. And we thought it was time it had some love. So the whole level has had a complete makeover with new art, effects and sounds.

So if you’re in a mood for adventure it’s definitely worth a visit! You never know what secrets you could uncover…

Snow Snow Snow

The elves and snowman are back bringing festive cheer to Wobbly Island. So if you haven’t got their outfits yet, now is your chance. And even if you have, why not knock down a few snowmen anyway because hey, it’s fun!

Sandbox Racetrack Map

Fancy yourself a racing driver? Well now here’s your chance to prove yourself. Take a visit to the Wobbly Racetrack in our new Sandbox map. Unleash chaos on the racetrack with the new Formula Wobbly car or mix it up with any vehicle you like!

NPC Updates

We’ve added dozens of new NPCs to Wobbly Island breathing more life into the world. Lots of them have fun new animations and dialog. So if you drive past them on your travels why not see what they’re up to.

Improved Performance

There are lots of performance improvements in this update, especially for the jungle areas. We’ve streamlined a lot of the backend systems for rendering and animation which should help performance especially on lower end machines.

Other Improvements

We’ve also made lots of other small improvements to the game. Grass has had some rendering improvements so that it no longer uses a 2D billboard. Snow now leaves small splodges on the ground. Also minimap icons that are near you will now fade when you are too far above or below their location. There are also new video options for contrast and brightness.

As you Wobblies know, it is very important for our team to make sure we keep improving the quality of the Wobbly experience for you. On top of the new content listed above, we have also introduced many more improvements and bug fixes to the game; please find our detailed list below:

- The Jungle Temple has had a makeover with updated Art and maybe a couple of new secrets.

- Holiday season is back! Which means a return of our holiday celebrations on Wobbly Island.

- Find Candy Canes and deliver them to the elves for rewards, and smash snowmen to see what prizes are inside!

- Wobbly island is now coated in snow and everyone has their decorations up! Some Wobblies will now be seen wearing their holiday clothes.

- New Race Track Sandbox Map. Race your friends in the Formula Wobbly race car unique to this map or test your driving skills in any vehicle available in the sandbox menu!

- Many new Wobblies around Wobbly Island have arrived with new animations and sounds breathing a bit more life into the world.

- Added more NPC Wobblies

- Add options to change brightness and contrast (Note this does not affect some UI)

- Improved grass rendering

- Added a storage space to the Fire Truck vehicle

- Added option to disable minimap rotation

- Improved Minimap rendering performance

- Improved Skybox fog fading

- Improved performance in the arcade lobby

- Minimap icons now fade if you are too far below or high them

- Added death barrier to temple lift

- Improved snow weather particle

- Improved rendering performance in Jungle

- Added disclaimer when using workshop items for the first time


- Fixed rescue helicopter jittering on low physics

- Fixed missing cheese inside of guard

- Fixed bath not interactable in mansion with helipad

- Fixed memory issue with opening map

- Fixed memory leak with road nodes

- Fixed cannon in forest not moving

- Fixed not able to use super yacht after doing all requirements

- Fixed not getting final reward when completing the Museum

- Fixed putting potion in potion sack while holding it causes a physics bug

- Fixed pink potion named purple potion

- Fixed dress as shark mission softlock

- Fixed Arcade Lobby spawning inside player

- Fixed not being able to "View on map" when you have 1 mission

- Fixed treasure spawning under snow

- Fixed blurriness when saving

- Fixed getting out of flying car while it’s flying and getting back into it once it has landed causes it to go fast

- Fixed skinning issue with the Round Glasses and Spiked Hair Hat

- Fixed driving into wizard tent causes vehicle to no longer respond

- Moon Boots double jump not working correctly
