We’re thrilled to announce that Medieval Frontiers will be making its public debut at Gamescom this year! 🏰✨

If you’re attending, you’ll have the chance to play an exclusive build of the game, meet members of the dev team, and get a closer look at life on the frontier before our next big public playtest.

The game is very fun, but only if you don't get sick. The first night is Mild Gravedo, the second night is Medium Gravedo, and the third night is Heavy Gravedo, even though I have a well, eat baked mushrooms, and sleep. It's unfair that you have to start three days back; it makes you lose the desire to play....

The Medieval Frontiers playtest has officially come to a close, and we want to give a huge thank you to everyone who joined us on the frontier. 🏰✨

Your time, feedback, and support have been invaluable in helping us shape the early foundations of the game. Every bug you reported, every suggestion you made, and every story you shared will help us improve Medieval Frontiers for the road ahead.

The support you've shown has been incredible — from the thoughtful suggestions and high-quality bug reports, to the funny, creative, and encouraging messages many of you have shared. We're truly grateful to have such a passionate and engaged community.

We’re reading all of your feedback carefully, and have already released the first patches addressing some of the bugs you reported and implementing a few of your ideas. The coming weeks will be busy as we continue working through your reports and making improvements. If it takes us a little time to get to your submission, please know that we’ve seen it — and we’re on it.

My thoughts after 30 seconds of gameplay

~5 FPS and no settings for mouse sensitivity (default is way too sensitive) = quick uninstall and forget about it.

The playtest brought in a lot of new ideas, and we want to incorporate them in the game as soon as possible. And we want to set up a roadmap and a list of features we plan to bring into the game. This is a thread to collect more ideas and questions for us....

Game engine?

I ask because Medieval Dynasty (which has been maturing for years now) uses unreal. This means that I can play it in VR. For me, being able to be in the game (rather than watching it on a flat screen) is a big deal for me.
