Alpha Test: March

🎪Greetings to all Carnival Hunt visitors!🎪

We have some great news for you!

⚠️The Alpha Test of the game will reopen for all Kickstarter backers and those who purchased Alpha access (support and more details about Alpha access can be found on discord[discord.gg]). The testing period will be from March 6, 23:00 PST to March 9, 23:00 PST. During this period, we will be testing a lot of new features that have been recently added.

Here's what you can expect:
Completed procedural room generation system (We will probably expand its functionality in the future). In addition, new rooms will be added every month.
New item: "The Carrot" - bio-reactive plant that produces thick, vibrant purple-blue smoke when disturbed.
If you're left without energy, after a timeout, you can try a hardcore skill check to get your gears running again and get quite a bit of energy. This is a very controversial mechanic, so it will need to be tested thoroughly.
Disclaimer prohibiting the game from being broadcast has been changed. But we still ask to specify that the game is still in development to avoid confusion.
The HUD of the magician and the bunny has been changed to achieve a simpler interface.
The customization system will get an update to allow bunnies to change their bodysuit. In addition, the system that was responsible for setting and randomizing customization for dead bunnies has been fixed.
Jack's HUD has been improved to make the user experience easier. (Now you can see what items you can get and how much energy you recover for a certain amount of candy.)
Daily challenges will be available.
Radar has been improved. In addition to displaying distance with an arrow (now more of a visual effect), the radar now highlights items, corpses, and chests with desired items within a radius of the bunny.
Mystic chests that hold gold items have also been added. In the future, you will also need radar to find them. (I.e., the chest will be invisible to the bunnies, but if you use radar near it, the chest will appear.)
The balloon has been modified. Now you can use them to go down to the lower floors without taking damage.
The ropes have been changed. You can use the ropes to get down to the lower floors.
The magician's catch has been changed to a fairer one. (The magician can now safely grab the bunny underfoot and overhead.)
The speed and catch zone size of the magician's hat has been increased.
The skill check of "Panic" has been changed to make players realize that it is a special skill check.
To improve the atmosphere, we've added creepy voices and sounds when the bunny accumulates "Madness."
Prevented the magician's voices from overlapping with each other.
Added a system that prevents too much ping spamming.

We also frequently receive questions about the release date, and we want to clarify the situation. We have a plan that evolves based on feedback and requests from the alpha testers - the live players. This way, we achieve a fairer game balance and fill the game with only necessary mechanics. The exact release date will be known at least six months before the game is released. At the moment, we are still in the alpha testing stage and plan to transition to the beta test this summer. After that, the release will be right around the corner!

Alpha Test: January

Hey, everybody👋

⚠️ From the 31st of January at 7:00am until the 3rd of February at 1:00am (PST), the server will once again be available for testing!

🎯 This time we will be testing the Progression, Achievement, Customization, Upgrade and Extraction systems. All of these systems are intertwined and very complex, so as always, we need all the Alpha Testers out there to make sure we are moving in the right direction!

🏆 We also have a fun community activity coming up, organized by our cool Discord[discord.gg] support team, where you can win exclusive customization items to use in the game. Look out for more details soon on the ⁠Discord community-announcements[discord.gg] channel.

Hello everyone,

As we step into 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible and busy year 2024 has been for us. Our development team underwent some changes and has been fully focused on bringing our game closer to release. This year, we’re excited to establish stronger communication with our community across all social media platforms and keep you updated every step of the way.

Last year, we successfully launched our Alpha test for Kickstarter backers. The feedback we received was invaluable, helping us improve the game and bring it closer to the experience we want to deliver. Monthly playtests are now a part of our process, and we’ll continue running them until the game’s release to ensure everything is polished and ready.

Currently, we’re in the Alpha stage, but we’re thrilled to share that Beta testing is just around the corner—planned for mid-2025. This means the full release is getting closer, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all.

For those of you who haven’t joined yet, we want to highlight our Discord[discord.gg] server. It’s the heart of our community, where discussions about the game and monthly tests take place. It’s also where players collaborate with our team to shape the game’s future. The community there is incredibly welcoming and passionate, sharing insights, strategies, and even helping to build a Carnival Hunt Wiki—a resource designed by the players, for the players, to guide newcomers and veterans alike. We are truly grateful for the efforts of everyone involved, including the community members and moderators, for making this possible.

Alpha key for Kickstarter

So I seldom use Discord and posted on their kickstarter page asking for an Alpha key since I helped kickstart it in 2023. No response...Can a dev help?

whats going on with Carnival Hunt ? game was supposed to be released in December but nothing and the discord is shut down and the sub Reddit is private. i remember seeing something in early December that it was being delayed cuz someone was sick but now with everything im seeing it looks like its another The Day Before situation. seems like the devs are taking the money from the kickstarter and running....
