Game with 5 cards: what is the strategy?

I'm unable to find a system in this game. Tried few approaches and it looks like AI makes pretty random moves. What i did found: - there is no restrictions on AI moves - AI does not simply follow player moves - No matter which card is chosen by player it is always possible for AI to choose winning card. Whether it makes proper choice or not looks completely random. Do i miss something here?...
