It wont recognize the input of : , ! / and so on. Tried switching my windows keyboard setting to different language settings. No success. Any Idea, suggestions?

There is a frequently repeating static popping sound in the audio playback that I believe is unrelated to the desired playback sound of smooth tones and silent pauses. I don't know enough about this system to fix these noise artifacts. If you know a fix, please let me know. Thank you. :)...
