Unfortunately waiting for the game to come around didn't help. I don't have a new PC, however, the game ran better 2 years ago than it does now. Back then I enjoyed, but now it makes me dizzy.

But what really makes me advice against buying this or any other from this publisher: they just announced Ultimate Fishing Simulator 3 (UFS3). Number 2 hadn't been finished, and they were working on the third one. How do we know that? Because as of today, June 19th, 2025, they already have a demo, for UFS3. Number 2 just got "released", on May 9th, 2025.

Years waiting for the second one, years in Early access and they kick us in the nuts. Who in their right mind would buy this now with a third one in the making and especially with how bad this one is playing? Which means no sales, no support due to no money, game is dead.

Listen you, whoever makes these decisions. It is no rocket science. COD, Madden, FC (previously FIFA) are made for idiots who don't care about paying for microtransactions on top of full price (every year); the companies behind those titles are the bad guys. The good guys are SCS, Expansive Worlds, the guys behind ETS2, ATS, COTW. Those games that have years and years, that have enjoyable play loops and that been supported by DLCs with well timed innovations. Question: in a niche genre like this, which of the two business models described above do you geniuses think are you more likely to be able to emulate?

Graphics: Beautiful, especially the water, but distant objects look low quality with weather set to Noon
Audio: Not too bad; some sound is repetitive however (the reel noise has very little variation)
PC Requirements: Fast
Game Size: 36.56 gigabytes as of writing this
Difficulty: Easy to learn / Hard to master
Grind: None; you can progress quite quickly
Price: Worth buying if its on sale (goes 85% off)
Bugs: A lot of tiny bugs, but nothing game breaking or annoying.
Rating: 8/10

I do have a few complaints: how little content there is; but take this with a grain of salt since I haven't played Alaska or Delaware Bay and I am only level 31 (out of 40).
The other thing is graphics; the game looks really bad on certain maps and has very bad antialiasing.
finally, the fish move unrealistically, they seem to flick oddly fast left and right, and if you fling your mouse to pull them out of the water... they kinda just flip super unrealistically
