And I didn't deviate from my route; I planned a new route, which left the old route highlighted.
(But yeah an option or default to clear existing green tiles when making a new route would make sense, hopefully Shu would think it's a simple tweak)
There's a "Clear Highlight" that nukes all color markings (blue, green, red) on your map. Tap A on controllers to cycle colors too.
Route planner doesn't clear all existing highlight colors because players can pre-mark some tiles that they definitely want to go (or definitely don't want to go) to help planning. There are also cases where players might plan half a path or have Fog of War (show only 3/2/1 ring of tiles around you) instability on.
But yeah I might make an option that auto clears existing "green" markers in a later update to prevent confusions.
