Reporting bugs / issues i have experienced.
VERSUS:
1. In episode 1, on the crew quarters level, as the aliens in ghost mode, at the disco you can go into the holes in the walls the npc aliens come from, in there it is possible to fall through the map to your death. forcing you to respawn.

PERFORMANCE:
1. I don't know if this is due to my hardware but, performance still drops severely during hordes, at least on intenser difficulty.

2. Ragdolls being on seems to have a severe performance cost.

AI:
1. Bots will often target the wrong person for a heal, As in they will heal someone near full health instead of the player about to go down. I think this happens when someone walks into them as they attempt to heal someone else.

2. If the bots die and then are respawned by pressing h, they will not pickup any weapons and therefor will be stuck with the pistol the rest of the game.

3. Bots will sometimes choose perks that they cant use. Special charge extender for example.

4.If the aliens get stuck, the framerate drops severely until they stop being stuck. At least on intenser difficulty.


PERK RELATED:
1.Auto charge often stops working if you ever reload while you have it.


ACHIEVEMENT RELATED:
3. Some achievement rewards have not been unlocking for me. (Even after closing the game and rebooting to force a backend update.)

Misc:
1.When selecting an emote in the menus, if you have no preferred character selected then the character that does the emote will have no head.

Thanks for this!

The holes in versus are getting fixed over time, but you can press E while you're falling and you'll respawn with no penalty as a ghost. Given the level of access ghosts have to the level, we likely won't ever fix all the holes.

The bots should pick up sunshot blasters, but we don't have them pick up other higher tier weapons, because we don't want them competing with players for high-level guns. They'll also grab airlock guns when you reach the next airlock.

Some achievements won't unlock rewards until the next time the game pulls data from the backend servers. This is a current limitation of the backend, but you can force skin unlocks (for example) by restarting the game between rounds.

@notthatwillsmith, Glad to do what i can to help improve the game!

I figured the holes would get be getting fixed!

I see, I personally think the sunshot blaster is the best gun in the game by far. I do see your reasoning though!

I'm just gonna post a few things I found in your thread instead of creating another thread.

I found two issues outside the ones you mentioned. The first is when playing a practice versus game on episode 1, the bots get permanently stuck at one point; specifically here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3112463184

Second 'issue' is I was at the end of map 2 in episode 2 when a third party agreement thing popped up. I clicked X on the prompt which caused the game to completely stop responding. My computer kept acting weird for about a minute after I force closed the game too.

A quick correction. That agreement thing was actually a crash report, I know this because the same exact thing popped up when I finished the weekly challenge on episode 3 after I originally commented. It seems to pop up when you've completed the final map of the episode.

Are you running in dx12 mode?

Another little update, I'm crashing on everything other than episode 1 in the main coop option. This includes holdout on the bridge, which of course is the last map of episode 1. I don't see anyone else mentioning this stuff so it could be something on my end I guess, but I wasn't crashing the last time I came back to give the game another go a few months back.

One other bug I do think should be mentioned though is the bots healing behaviors, which you tapped into above. But the bots will still try to heal you if you have low health and start healing yourself. You usually can't tell they're doing that either, so you'll be healing yourself, then finish but you can't move because it says a bot is half way through healing you too.

if you submit those crash logs, we'll look at them and can tell if it's something unique to your system or a bug that's causing the crash. We aren't aware of any crash issues ATM though, aside from the DirectX 12 crash that happens when people have forced DX12 on and use the ammo charger.

Hi, just wanted to continue this discussion here, AI bugs that aren't THAT important, (being how it's Versus) but I figured I'd let a dev in on:

In Ep.1, as we approach the mall AI players aren't exactly sure what to do when it comes to barriers.

The revive state and bot pathing, aiming, threat all play into what they choose to do but def some edge cases where they... well... sorry!

And yeah, on versus mode when we were doing this on L4D we really struggled with the idea that the zombies in that case could see a "broken map" and just decided the cost to fix that was too high and I have extended that thinking here.

Also @Evil, I apologise for only replying now but. That's right if you didn't put -dx12 in your steam launch options i believe you must be in dx11. I don't think i can help diagnose the original crashes you reported here though as i can't remember what i was going to say might help.

Oh no - just more of what we accept in that mode because the alien side brings some stuff up.
