Is it as amazing as Dark Souls? - No.
Is it nevertheless a cool game with interesting combat mechanics? - Yes.

There were a few disappointing factors, like the very low difficulty and the incredibly empty areas.
But overall I still had a good time playing Mortal Shell.

Fully recommend if you like soul games. I put it down after 45 minutes thinking it was terrible. But like other souls like games I came back to it and i'm glad I did. Fantastic game! Just need to progress far enough to unlock abilities and upgrade weapons. After that it's just fun! Don't sleep on this one.

Not sure why this game is getting so much hate. It was worth the $30 imo

Combat feels clunky and unfun

A bit on the short side but it's a great Souls-like for the price. This game is a pretty good place to start if you wanted to get into Dark Souls type games.

Pretty good souls like. Have no idea what the hell is happening in the story or the environment so that makes it even more like one. I like the unique mechanic about hardening the shell, although the game can get a bit easy if you know how to use your shell correctly. You mostly just harden your shell to avoid or tank a hit instead of just dodging, it kinda takes no skill. All the classes and weapons are fun (except for foundling). And the cycle gamemode is also fun to play (unless you're the foundling).

I think the bosses are cool and fun, although I feel with the hardening they can be dealt with easy. Definitely liked the ice one the most. Pretty fun game, unless you're the founding (don't be the foundling)
