does any1 know how far from the bell room the villagers will recognize buildings and rooms?

I have Dragon Quest Builders 2, but I haven't started it yet. I was wondering should I get Dragon Quest Builders 1? I haven't bought it yet.

Title. I love Dragon Quest, love the overall idea of this game, i guess what I'm wondering is: it there enough RPG-Meat here for someone who wants lots of gear, levels, skills, etc. I loves me some RPGs that have too many options, to where you really have to play a few times to discover all the skills/spells/etc. Just wondering if it's worth a purchase given that I'm hoping for Dragon-Quest levels of depth. Thanks....

What you would want to see? I want more combination of buildings Better AI for both enemies and allies Game mode close to RTS, with an enemy building their own town Combat oriented Building combinations that specifically increase allies/NPC stats (smaller decorations in room affect stats) I think this would be terrific....
