I do like this game, but my recommendation comes with a very, VERY large caveat, because I hated the combat, and the combat is EVERYWHERE. It was boring, repetitive, and frequently got in the way of the building, which is what I'm here to do. This was especially agonizing once I reached the third island, where monster raids were much more frequent. This game commits the cardinal sin of confusing "increase difficulty" with "make enemy health bars enormous," so it VERY quickly becomes tedious

The game is not otherwise without its quirks; it's very specific and even finicky about progression. It strikes me as a game that didn't get a lot of play-testing. For example, early in the game, you have to pass a cliff to meet a character, but the cutscene only triggers if you tunnel through the cliff. You can just go around the cliff, but you can't progress if you do. In a genre where the appeal is the open-ended gameplay, it's remarkably linear.

Nevertheless, it's a charming game with a fun little story, low-stakes survival and town management, and a cute himbo demon guy. When it leans into those things, it does well. $50 well? Maybe not. Do what I did and wait for it to come on sale, but if you like crafting, building, and comedy North England accents, this game is definitely worth a look

I have personally spent a lot more time playing this back when it was on Xbox Game Pass, but I clearly enjoyed it so much I purchased it on PC!

It can feel a little childish at times, with the chibi animations and verrrrry G rated combat/interactions, however it has some excellent puns and give you a good bit of light-hearted fun each time you jump on!
