🪓 The Leader Picks Up the Axe

Citizens,

The State has heard your pleas: “Why can’t the Leader mine and chop like the lowly workers?” At first, we believed whipping your troops would be enough to keep you entertained (don’t worry, the whip remains).

But apparently, nothing beats the satisfaction of breaking rocks and felling trees with your own Leaderly hands. So be it. The axe is yours. The pickaxe too. The State provides.

What’s New in the Demo

🛠️ Bug Fixes

Corrected a rare case where skill points could be allocated incorrectly.
Fixed an issue where camera rotation could get stuck.

⛏️ Improvements & Optimizations

You can now mine, chop, gather, research, and craft inside the base. Long live productivity.
The mining resource minigame now better matches human reaction times.
You can now board the shuttle ship to return to space from within the cities.
Space rendering has been adjusted for improved visibility (or maybe I’ve simply grown accustomed to interrogation spotlights...).

Demo pacing is off. Too much "Hurry up and wait around doing nothing!" Other gameplay concerns.

The beginning is fine with establishing the lore of the world and the dangers. I look forward to the EA and justifying my decisions later of choosing to pardon rather than executions or mandatory cognitive resets. We will need everyone in this, after all. Spotty voice acting bothers me. If you needed anyone to have full dialog, it needed to have been Father and the rest could have had limited voice lines like the "Building!" "Okay!" "Roger!" commands. It feels like the VAs and allotment of resources were ...

QOL Request: "Worker Delegation Station" or some sort of centralized hub for assigning workers

I'd like some centralized building to assign gatherers, assign workers at specific buildings, and also have tooltips that sort workers by what stat would be most useful, i.e. artificial citizens with high research would be at the top. I don't like having to constantly fly around and go to these areas physically to do simple tasks that should be a phone call away. The simulation management seems like it's going to be a huge pain in the ass if we keep having to make direct calls to get business going....
