End Game is too boring.
I really love the game.

But it seems player power ramps up too fast with very little to do at the end.

Going into 1st and 2nd boss, building toward something is the best part.

But after that, there is just no challenge rising up to meet the players to truly use the ship we've built, always feeling anti climatic towards end.

Too many runs just end with players feeling bored, other in game breaking bugs.

I hope they are planning on adding more contents?

Welcome to why I insist on saying this game is too easy and it needs higher difficulty modes. By the time you kill your second boss, you are literally overpowered and nigh unstoppable, the game doesn't throw enough enemies your way to compensate for your turrets doing insane amounts of damage.

The game has broken difficulty scaling. When you have no gene points most people have a tough time surviving for very long. Once you have enough to finish up a tree you are very strong and can rank up your ship fast.

So much this. It's wild that the game is objectively at it's hardest the on the very first run a group of 4 newbies do. While I'm not currently at the point where I want the game harder, I know other people definitely need more challenges.

I think the game needs more difficulty options in general. The 4 player difficulty seems a bit over-tuned to me, especially for casual groups that don't have a ton of gene points unlocked. A ramping difficulty option would be nice. Or maybe a modifier that increases average loot value, but lowers XP gain? It'd be nice if groups that can't commit to ~3 hour runs could at least occasionally see what a fully upgraded ship can do.

Hello!

Yes, we are aware that the balancing is not exactly where we would like it to be. With the feedback we've gotten from players and telemetry, this has become much more actionable for us. We are currently working on the next big update, which includes player missiles, mutators (making the game harder) and ... yes - a big balancing pass (We'll be communicating more on this soon!)

In terms of what we will balancing, what is brought up here in this thread is pretty much spot on.

The mutators will be the goto with regards to making things more difficult (read more here), but on a global level the intentions is to make the first objectives easier, and then scale the difficulty so players will be much more challenged as they progress.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and concerns, this helps us make the game better :)

Sincerely,
Daniel from Hutlihut Games

Wow... I didn't expect the dev to answer to my thought, especially critical ones.

My criticism comes from place of love, wanting to see this game be something special. If I didn't love the game, I would not have said anything and just moved on.

Thank you for your mindset, truly. I am so hyped up to see what you will do in future with such open mindset to player's critical feedbacks.

I am a huge fan now :D
