I liked this game right up until the 10 hour mark. That’s where it should’ve ended. But then it massively overstays its welcome. It has the same problem as The Witness. It has hundreds of puzzles, but its hundreds of the exact same puzzle. The difficulty doesn’t change, no new mechanics are introduced and nothing interesting happens after the first 2 hours.

The game is also bad at explaining what is and isn’t a puzzle. Some islands have multiple solutions, but the game makes no disctinction between those that do and those that don’t. So you can spend hours banging your head against a wall only to find out there wasn’t a solution in the first place.

The only way to avoid wasting hours of your life is to play with a walkthrough, but where’s the fun in that? I’m 20 hours in an have most of the islands but are nowhere near the end. And you know what, ♥♥♥♥ this. Whatever payoff there is at the end isn’t worth it.
