Are there any actual threats in the Nightmare mode?

I am a huge coward when it comes to horror games. And even in the base game CSC managed to spook me a bunch of times. But I still remain calm, because I know that everything and everyone on the location is dead, and even a so-called "ghost house" was basically a big prank, no actual danger involved.
Won't hurt to ask, I guess, but does Nightmare Mode contain any threats that may result in character death, chases or gameplay restrictions? Like spirits chasing us through spaces, or character losing vision because of not avoiding the monsters? Visual or audio jumpscares don't count, as they don't impact the gameplay.

I would highly appreciate honest answers, because I have some health problems, and would like to know upfront if there is anything I need to be prepared for. Thank you.

Don't worry there isn't anything like that in nightmare mode. A few sorta jump scares but nothing that will end your game or restrict your game play in any way. It's all just a nightmare so there's no real threat.

I haven't experienced anything like this. The nightmare mode levels tend to give a sense of unease but the horror aspects are pretty light. The spookiest mission is probably the nightmare pizzeria but you're never in any danger.
