Verify File did not work.

Hi, I've just got the game as it was free. I've been looking forward to try it out, however, when I downloaded it and tried to start it steam says that exe can't be found. Reinstalled it, nothing... same.. Tried to verify the files, it says it's done, and that 0 files have been verified. If I open the folder where it supposed to be installed, then the folder is empty.. Anyone else had this kind of issue with this game or any other game and have any suggestions? Thanks...
