It wont be as good as :
- Super Metroid
- Symphony of the Night
- Shadow Man
Why not ?
It wasnt even the first one, but it is for sure the best one.
How would you know, have you played Silksong ?
It has all the ingredients of a metroidvania:
- interconnected world
- constant backtracking in previous areas
- new abilities unlock pathways and items in previous areas
The only real difference to most other metroidvanias is that it is 3D instead of 2D.
People are sleeping on Shadow Man......its better than Hollow Knight.
