I dont get the crazy amount of hype.

It wont be as good as :

- Super Metroid
- Symphony of the Night
- Shadow Man

shadow man ? i dont think that game is even a metroidvania ... and super metroid is just the first one of the genre along with SOTN - doesnt mean they remain the best ... I would argue silksong is much bigger and complex than Symphony of the night overall - same for hollow knight ... they are not even close in comparison

It has all the ingredients of a metroidvania:

- interconnected world
- constant backtracking in previous areas
- new abilities unlock pathways and items in previous areas

The only real difference to most other metroidvanias is that it is 3D instead of 2D.

People are sleeping on Shadow Man......its better than Hollow Knight.
