One of the best games ive ever played. how is this free

I came back to this game 3 or 4 years after I've discovered it, and I was pleasantly surprised. While I was unfortunate enough to play this game while I was in a difficult time of my life, fully finishing this game and getting the good ending, I genuinely feel better after this experience. So, I want to thank the developer for opening my eyes, and if you're going through a difficult time in your life, just know that there is hope.

holy. this game is beautiful. I've never seen a game with this much raw representation of depression. this game took me a while to get through, and i only have one more ending left (true ending). i love this game with my soul, it really shows how depression can take over your life and how getting help seems further away from just letting yourself sink into the depression. to the devs, not many games have made me feel actual emotion and shed a tear, but this has. seriously, this game has made me feel like i was heard, that i wasn't alone. thank you.
