Okay. This one broke me.

I don't know if this'll be a spoiler-free review or a non-spoiler-free one, so keep your eyes peeled if you decide to read this.
This isn't a game, it's a statement about how games should make you feel and it's a personal message to you as a human being. I don't even want to call it a game, it's a playable experience. It doesn't need state of the art graphics or a physics engine that's 1:1 to reality, it delivers a message to the player through an interactive medium, let's call it that - interactive medium. It's certainly a walking simulator at it's core (if you want to be a pessimist and choose to view this through that lens, so be it), but that doesn't mean it doesn't have it's charm.
Right off the bat it tries to warn you, that if you have depression, or are prone to epilepsy, you SHOULDN'T play this game.
And to those who have suffered from depression, or had close ones - family, friends or anyone else - fall into it, I say "play it." It will certainly help you to go through - or at the very least understand - what people who do have these kinds of disorders go through. If you're afraid to play it yourself, play it with someone sitting beside you and just watch and tell them what to do. But watching this through youtube is a waste, I recommend everyone who is interested in this and wants to experience it to play it themselves.
It WILL change your view and it WILL help you to some degree. (Btw I'm NOT vouching that playing this cures depression, but it's certainly helped me, as I've suffered from it in the past and I still do now to some degree.)

This needs to be played by everyone at least once in their lives.

And if you've stumbled by any chance upon this review and are going through something like I've just said, just know that you're not alone. There are almost certainly always people willing to listen and willing to understand and help you, please do not harm yourself.

And to end it off, I'll just say: "Meaning is a sweater that you have to knit yourself."

Honestly this was a wonderful play experience. Truly an insightful game with a very impactful horror experience. I do suffer from depression and anxiety, and while the warnings were appreciated, I found those elements in the game to be a learning experience. 10/10 would recommend.
