You didn't finish the game, as you used save states.
And you should probably play the Japanese versions instead cause the US versions were made intentionally cheap in order to get people to rent the game more. The original Japanese versions are more fair since renting wasnt much of a thing there.
This especially applies to Castlevania 3, since the US unfair version has you take much more damage than what youre supposed to.
Dude, you again. You answered my thread with this exact bs which I didn't ask for.
If you beat the final boss you just finished the game
I don't personally care that much when it comes to the way people play their games but they should at least be honest about it.
"if i hadn't used save state, i probably wouldn't have been able to finish it for the rest of my life"
if you're telling me, as you can see, i'm honest enough in my quoted sentence. i already mentioned that i wouldn't be able to finish the game if i didn't use save state. the game already gave me this option, why should i call it cheating. besides, even if it is cheating, castlevania is not a competitive game that affects someone else. whether i'm having fun or not is the whole point. I don't understand why this situation triggers people.
I wouldn't be able to beat Dark Souls for the rest of my life either, those games are insanely unfair and brutal after all but I won't beat them with cheats and then act like I actually beat them lol.
Can you use save state in the original game and console?
But anyone can do what they want, there isnt a rule about using save states.
Unless you're the person above this comment, where apparently theres a rule book no one knows about lol. Sounds like one of those "get good" Dark Souls players who only sticks to the glitchy original PC port and says theres only one right way to play the games xD.
