[Tips] How to Mods, for dummies
Some people asked me, so - I've made this thread for those, who never used mods before and afraid of breaking their lvl 80 elf top gear floran/glorious castle/lovely ship. Basically some tips about how to use and disable mods.

Here we go:

Before Installation:
- Check Mod's Status. Basically you should check, is mod exists in this collection or not. If yes - everything should be fine. If not - here may be dragons. Actually, mods, that arent here, wont 100% break your save - I didnt include variations of mods by same authors (also compataibility patches/etc), also Im not Sanic and, probably, didnt check mod's status yet (rlly - for this moment, I have like 70 mods to check and not enough time to do it right now). So - if you didnt find mod here, just ask author of it directly in mod's comments. Normally they will answer anytime soon.
- Make Backups. Just open your /starbound/ folder and copy /storage to somewere else. Ever if mods, listed here, didnt bind to saves on check, there are no guarantees, that they wont do it in future. Making backups is best way to keep your saves safe.
- Paranoid Tip: Just open your steam folder, find here /workshop/content/211820/ and unpack each folder's .pak files with starbound's asset unpacker. Then browse whole sources to find, is there anything weird. Basically, starbound mods are archives, so - there may be, literally, anything, you can find in normal .zip / .rar / etc - I didnt see any viruses, but found forgotten photoshop files and backups. Actually, this step's priority belongs to you - I does that ♥♥♥♥ every ♥♥♥♥in time, I installs or update mods, for example

Before Uninstallation
- Remove Modded Buildings. Recommended for planets, STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for spaceships. Just remove all furniture, doesnt exists in vanilla game (crafting tables/platforms/etc). If you are lazy to do that - just do it on your ship, atleast. Why? On disable, all items in your inventory/storages, which doesnt exists in vanilla game, will turn into perfectly generic items. But it doesnt work for placed buildings. They will just turn into invisible unremovable objects, so - most likely, you wont be able to build where they was. Invisible platforms included.
- Check About Additional Steps. Just open this thread and check, do you have anything, listed here, installed. If yes - just follow recommendations. If no - nothing stops you anymore, just disable deez whole mods!
