Primal Survival: General Tips
Here I'll be adding some tips for for general game-play.

Character
  • The best way to level early is to go hunting! You will need the food regardless.
  • Not all berries are still safe to eat. Check the description when you gather them.
  • Cook hearts and eat them to restore health!
  • Using hearts for healing is more affective when used to make healing tonics.
  • You can grab red supply drops at level 55 instead of 60.
  • Engrams start getting very expensive past level 40. Acquire them wisely.
  • Human melee attacks can now apply critical damage (headshots etc).
  • Armor is less effective, though still crucial.

Creature Care
  • Stale food is still effective food for creatures to eat and very useful if you need to leave them for a long period of time.
  • Raw hearts can be used to heal carnivores and Tinto (red) berries & vegetables can be used to heal herbivores.
  • Take care of your tamed creatures, they are not invincible in the wild!

Survival
  • See a quetzal? Run.
  • Ranged weapons are immensely useful when hunting.
  • Consuming cooked hearts is very beneficial for humans.
  • Stone is not impervious, large creatures, deod, anky, Carno & Argentivis can damage it.
  • Wood can be damaged by smaller carnivores now too.

General
  • Meat is more easily spoiled by cooking it first (it will skip going stale that way).
  • Raw vegetables will heal humans slightly when eaten, though they won't fill you up.
  • Vegetables used in cooking recipes will fill you up much more.
  • Stone fireplaces cook food faster.
  • Sickles gather berries faster than by hand.
  • Larger crop pots are more effective than smaller ones.

Breeding (Guide)
  • Expect babies to take days to grow up. However, the baby stage (first 10%) will be very short.

Taming Guide)
  • Taming effectiveness has no effect now.
  • Take at least 12 kibble with you when going to tame a creature. Unless you want to tame a Paracer, then it is safer to take 20.
  • You can't tame most large dinosaurs, sea creatures or insects.
  • However, you can tame some alpha's.

Most of it's awesome except that you cant tame the biggest creatures, like Rex and Spino should be able to be tamed, but there is a smaller spawn rate, and that only the Giganotosaurus and/or the Titanosaurus is untameable? Thats just my opinion though.

I'm still considering something along these lines, though making them very hard to obtain. However, being unable to claim the most dangerous of creatures means you can never be king of the jungle (so to speak). You will always need to be on guard which is fun in its own way and suits surviving in a hostile prehistoric environment.

We'll see ;)

Not taming the nastier dinos is one thing that makes this mod stand out. I particularly like that I'm never at the top of the food chain.
