Description
DESERT OF FIRE


This is SP and COOP (1-5) scenario. It features a dynamic living and breathing urban warzone and a immersive story from the creator of the successful Royal Siege Scenario. You and your team of Delta Force operators navigate through a designated route with limited UAV fire support. Your objectives are to infiltrate a fortified compound, eliminate a notorious HVT and destroy a suspected IED factory located in the same vicinity but of course things are not that easy, get ready for a twist!

FEATURES


2.0 update adds over 50 more OPFOR troops throughout the city, and utilizes UPS, which is a random urban patrol script. Enemy units will now be roaming randomly. Staged patrols have been added to the HVT's compound.

STORY


In January 2017 an anonymous multi-national cyber warfare group hacked hundreds of banking institutions across the world. Their aim was to obtain intelligence on specific politicians and Arab oil tycoons. What they found was distributed to the public and many so called "friends" of the west had been proved to be funding terrorism for quite a long time. Prince Faruq Nasheed is one of these individuals and he is now on the run, except American, British and Russian intelligence have figured out his patterns. He flees to warzones where his allied extremist groups are in power, and stays in fortified and protected compounds. Little does he and his allies know, that there are entities that will hunt him down no matter where he decides to seek refuge.


MISSION TIME:
~40mins / 45-50mins (stealth)


KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES


-User experienced non-functioning trigger after destroying IED factory. If you destroy the factory using the drone and don't see a serious of objective status updates (including a new extraction), please let me know in detail about this. I have not been able to emulate this fault during testing.

-When you enter the Mansion in SP, the BLUEFOR AI won't go in but go around the compound. To stop them from wandering off and getting killed just command them to stop/hold while you clear the compound. This is just BI AI inefficiency.


DEV MESSAGE

There has been a 7month gap between Desert of Fire and my last scenario. My last was technically my first scenario which was shockingly (to me atleast ) successful to my standards, and I hope that DoF does just as well. I personally think it surpasses Royal Siege in about every aspect, even though I don't have the time to add everything I want in this mission (there's so much more I wanted to do with it). I was pretty exhausted toward the completion of this mission so let me know if you notice any mistakes or errors. I hope you enjoy and thanks for the support.

Very good mission.Everything worked.
Played it SF and took the dry river bed all the way north behind the extraction and attacked from the hills.
One bug,the extraction task was 50metres or so from the helicopter,no biggie unless players were chased to the extraction.I wasn't ;)

Had to put Cup Terrains-CWA in mods to get it to run; said some terrain feature was missing without that. Agree with all others saying thisis a well done effort, Thank YOU! Salute ~ !

Awesome job! Nice objectives. Good use of music. I would include CUP CWA in your list of mods so people can start the mission.

Thanks for the support everyone, it's what drives me to take the time and create these scenarios. Unfortunately (for those who have issues) I'm currently working overseas and only brought my very basic laptop that I'm sure wont even run ARMA3. But I will be back and have more scenarios planned!

doesnt work after patch, it says cwa_Fountain doesnt exist nomore.....
