Description
The Equalizer's a railgun AWP with embedded coil power system. I really wanted to push the texture to show the guts of the gun in a believable way. With a lot of attention paid to in-game views, I want this to look sweet when wielded and inspected.

This weapon style is an extension of my Bizons created the for 70's/80's sci-fi comp. Influenced by raw, complex tech of movies like Back to the Future and Ghostbusters, along with audio and computing tech of the 80's. The internals take a lot of inspiration from the Delorean and Proton Pack, with a sort of reinforced metal casing to distinguish it.

Sticking with simple components and a greyish base with blue accent is an attempt to make it fit the rarity tier, with the increasing calibre of workshop it's hard to tell how far to push things! I've included work in progress and other goodies in the gallery, this skin was a design-as-you-go type process with a ton of iteration. Saved out 60+ test files in the course of making this, consistently checking how it looks on the final product.

I love the mix of industrial design and computer components and wanted to capture that ad-hoc combination as it appears in 80's sci-fi. I feel it creates a compelling narrative, and hopefully I've captured that in this skin!

If you'd like to see it in-game please vote, favorite, share and do all the good things!
