abandoned places from remainders
in Skyrim's vanilla game data.

Barleydark Farm is a farmstead
in Whiterun hold

WHAT & WHERE

FORGOTTEN PLACES
In Skyrim's game data, there's a couple of places that got abandoned, never
completed or otherwise didn't make it into the actual game.

The Forgotten Places series aims to mold what remainders i can find of
such places into actual game locations, in a coherent and lore friendly way.

BARLEYDARK FARM
Barleydark Farm is a thriving farmstead in Whiterun hold, between Western
Watchtower and Nas-Zel ruins (for all who have my Donkey King mod :-))

You can get all the usual farm jobs, and there's also a little vendor stand
(opening times 8-12 and 14-20, if no vendor's in, just wait at the stand,
there'll be one coming to serve you as quick as possible)

WHAT WAS THERE in vanilla game data
.) The "Barleydark Farm" location, owning 2 exterior cells
.) The owner, the dark elf Mithorpa Nasyal
.) Some clutter, like a key, a lock list etc

WHAT I DID NOT USE of vanilla game data
.) A dialogue line from CW-negotiations refers to a "massacre at
. . Barleydark Farm" - didn't feel like following up on that.
.) A cell in an inaccessible test hold

Unlocks 2 additional Cache Sacks

LOAD ORDER & COMPATIBILITY

Scenic Carriages: Please put Barleydark Farm after Scenic Carriages
in your load order. Both edit the same navmesh and NPC's wouldn't find
their doors etc otherwise (SC will still properly function)

Since this mod restores unused _vanilla_ content, it might conflict with other
mods that restore the same content.

Great job, thanks. Chickens were sadly slaughtered by sabre cats shortly after arrival, wasn’t anticipating that. The interiors are deeply intriguing esp. given the hint/reference to the “massacre.” Nice to see Whiterun more populated.

the farmer lady says it would seem so, - is there more to discover or was that the nasty that you thankfully left out... just checking thanks for the bed and sacks..

umm is there any story to the giants ?? or the stones or is it just a test ? sorry didn't get to do much they went inside when it got dark

@ riptide: he's using default dialogue for all i remember (been a while that i moved on to modding fo4) - but if you find it very disturbing, i can look into it
