Flooring Floors Upscaled

Description
The actual mod is HERE

A simple texture replacement for Flooring Floors .
Provides high-resolution textures (2048x2048).

For better performance (for those that don't want to use these textures) and ease of use, hi-res textures have been segregated from the main mod.

Notes:
✦ Be sure to load this after Flooring Floors .
✦ Despite the name, all textures are first made in 2048x2048 resolution and then downscaled for the main mod.
✦ Disabling texture compression in the game settings will make the textures look cleaner while using more of your video memory.

In retrospect, I didn't even think that I would end up making this many floors, what the hell.
So feel free to save it locally and remove anything you don't like or modify it however you want.

Yeah, I know, a lot of things about Rimworld are annoying or even infuriating. I had around 500 mods, and before Odyssey, my game would slow down significantly the longer I played. I have yet to try 1.6, though. I think in my latest playthrough I spent more time troubleshooting than actually playing, tbh.

Currently I have no big plans for this mod since I already implemented most things that I wanted. So unless there are some issues that need fixing or a compatibility patch that is required on my end, I won't have to update it any time soon (hopefuly).

The problem with RimWorld is never just one single mod, but the sum of all the mods.
I have 300 of them, and with all these duplicates scattered everywhere, I end up using 10 GB of video memory, which is enough to max out my 3080 — far from a low-end PC.
I’m going to have to put all the mods that add textures locally so I can remove all the duplicates, and then change them every time there’s an update. This game really drives you crazy 🙄

How much video memory Flooring Floors is currently using:
With standard textures: 52.64MB
With upscaled textures: 209.78MB

Which means that if you enable this mod without manually replacing them, it will be 262.42MB. Wouldn't call this a "heavy" impact, but it depends on your PC, I guess.
I doubt that people with low-end machines will use these textures anyway, while others with sufficient video memory won't see a significant impact on the performance.
The difference is negligible in my opinion.

@qux
Unfortunately, that is correct.

The decision was made in favor of low-end PCs for these reasons:
1. You had to manually replace the textures every time I updated the mod.
2. You had to download 250+ MB worth of textures that some people may find redundant (it is also a problem for those that have limited internet data).

You can always just manually replace the textures to avoid this exact situation that you've described ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi, I believe this also causes performance issues when loading the same texture multiple times, even if only the last one ends up being displayed on screen. Unity tends to load all the mod files anyway — in this case, it will load both the 1024 and 2048 textures. That ends up being quite heavy and puts unnecessary load on video memory.

Thank you.
