Smithable Circlets

Description
NOTE: This is NOT COMPATIBLE with my Circlets Overhaul mod! Please use one or the other!

Adds crafting recipes for the ten Circlets in the game. Strangely, the metals and gems used in Circlets do not line up with the metals and gems used in the entire rest of the game, so I had to make some allowances. Corrundum is used for Copper, and Malachite is used for Jade. For gems, Moonstone is Moonstone Ore, and Onyx is Ebony Ore. You can find the recipes in the Jewelery category at any forge or anvil in the game.

This mod doesn't change anything about Circlets other than add crafting recipes. I am planning, at some point, to make a mod that overhauls Circlets completely so that their metals and gems match up with what is used in the rest of the game, but that is a bigger project for a later time. For now, I hope you enjoy this mod, and happy crafting!

On Earth, Malachite is the term we use for copper ore. On Nirn, Malachite is the term for a green volcanic glass. Just like how on Earth, Ebony is a term for a kind of wood, while on Nirn Ebony is a term for a black volcanic glass. On Nirn, Corrundum is a term for a pliable orange metal, but on Earth, Corundum is not a term we use for anything, and the pliable orange metal we have that is similar to Nirn's Corundum we call Copper. That is why I used Corundum for Copper, and Malachite for Jade (although in hindsight, Orichalcum would make more sense for Jade).

In any case, Complete Crafting Overhaul makes this and my Circlets Overhaul mod entirely obsolete; if you want a more consistent and immersive crafting experience, I cannot recommend CCO highly enough. Seriously, it's awesome.

You know, it would make more sense for malachite to be what you use instead of copper, what with malachite being copper ore...

Nice mod! It's strange to see lack of this feature in the original game. Thanks :-)

Those features won't make it into this mod, but when I make my Circlets Overhaul mod, I'll be including Armored versions there. I've started editing the textures for it, but it may be a while before it's done and functional. Keep an eye out though, I'll be uploading it here as soon as it's done :)

Good thinking :D Glad it interests you, one day I will have to try my hand at mods but I've not tried before so no idea what to do or software to use etc lol! Fingers crossed..

Hm. That's an interesting idea. Maybe make a separate set of Armored Circlets out of different material, like Quicksilver instead of Silver, and Moonstone instead of Gold, and maybe, like, Dwarven metal instead of Corrundum? That would be interesting. I'll consider it :)
