The DLCs are NOT needed in this version and this version don't have a extra population.

How i use ?

you have to choose it from game options click on the bar on top of the settings in random match and choose the mod you want to play with then set your game options as you wish and start the game (every time you shut down and start the game back up it resets the game mod option so you have to choose it again)
