Dogs of war.

RULES

1.Always respect and comply to the Alpha-dog. Likewise to the seconds.
2. Always wear the clan tag!
3. Always stay tuned, read up and participate on our info.
4. Follow the guidelines.

Every Dog have to agree and submit to the rules.
You are expected to sign in on the pages frequently and asap. The minimum is to say a woof.

History in short:
The clan was founded some years ago by DOGs/Siouxperior (now DOGs/Sioux) and DOGs/Grunster (who has been offline for a long time). We had worked up experience from some other clans and had become aware of what we wanted and not wanted of qualities from clan members. Sioux has been on ql since early 2009 and was registered as the 2nd most playing quaker in the world on old ql.
Palm came in to the clan long time ago and was the clan owner of the biggest clan (yquit) with over 2000 members and also in the top as one of the most playing quakers on the same list. Together a lot of experience! DOGs/Kravter has come in as an unexpendable resource on tech support and other qualities and are therefore a General together with Palm. These 3 are the board.

Ahead:
The goal is to still have a clan working after model of the old ql. (The old ql was the real deal ….steam is a down grading from that….here we have to build everything up again on our own -or just live in the nuked ruins of the old ql). If we don't make this work...ql will slowly die down to some marginal activity.

Having a clan works differently on steam than old ql.
In old ql all power was on the leaders hands: server, expenses, setups, etc

On steam: Clan is one part. Server is one part. Research and tech is one part. Setup and managing dogs pages is one part. Financing is a part. Innovative thinking and implementing is a part too. + more.
All parts together makes it work somehow here on steam but contrary if one part doesn't cooperate it has capability to sabotage the whole construction. It is therefore utterly important that we do have a leadership to coordinate all and that all parts willingly work together. Rebellious tendencies have to be kept under control.
All parts are replaceable, so let it be clear that the clan itself as a brand is the part that the Alpha-dog maintain and as the leader need the overview and true knowledge about every aspect of the clans parts to ensure the hole construction works (and working together).
The Alpha-dog and the Generals are working in the background on many fields so don't expect to be fully informed about everything at all times. Best way to get informed about changes or other things is to read up on on our pages: DOGs/ of War 1



Guidelines: What DOGs/ stands for:

-We are a group of friends and want to be picky about who we let in.
-It has to be order.
-We only want well behaving members.
-We like to have fun. Fun above skill, but skill is nice too.
-Dogs are friends and greet each other and say goodbye when leaving.
-Dogs are one pack but there is a ranking within the pack too, and members will have to comply to the leaders.
-If a dog is unhappy about something – talk to a leader.
-Always bring up issues internally in order to have them dealt with and not in public!
-Stay updated and tuned on our dog-pages! You can also discuss ideas there for the leaders and others to consider. The Steam life requires use of those pages.
-Make sure to maintain good reputation....do not smear the DOGs clans name!
-A requirement is to ALWAYS wear the clan tag! Preferably permanent as part of the steam name! If not... -you ALWAYS need to wear it somehow anyway! If you don't, we will see it as you are not as dedicated as you should be….and probably don't belong in DOGs clan. Make your mind up before entering the clan.
We only want dedicated members who are proud to be dogs! «Shoppers» will be dismissed, and not wanted in the first place.
We want happy members who are sure they want this and will stay.
-Do not mess with the tag!

True Dogs:
-You can only be member of one clan – DOGs/. (We had a few exceptions for clan owners in old ql in the past, but DOGs clan had to have first priority in order to be member). In Steam we will not allow double memberships. You will have to make a well considered choice upfront to be accepted.



Tags
We will use the original tag as it still is the real deal and good looking identity of the dogs, but we also introduce some new distinctions.

The Golden Pack is the hardest core of the Dogs who has been with the pack through times and trials and proven their loyalty and devotion, normally they have been playing frequently and stayed tuned the way the leaders want it, they have complied satisfactory.
They will be distinguished with some yellow in the tag.

Some eligible dogs may still have something to prove, so make sure to help removing any doubt.

The Alpha-dog have to approve your tag and will tell which tag belongs to you and when the time is right and will then paste the tag in to your chat for you to copy and paste in to the steam name.

You hereby agree to that if you get kicked out of the clan or leave on your own you can no longer use the tag.


The tags

Members: DOGs/ the original

Golden pack: DOGs/ original but the “s” is golden(yellow)

Server hosts: DOGs/» original + quotation mark in red (“s” yellow if fully tuned in)

Seconds/Managers: DOGs/* original but “s” is golden + red “star” (asterisk)

Leader/Alpha-dog: DOGs/* original but “s” is dark blue + golden “star” (asterisk)



Criteria to be regarded golden:
A dog that always respect and comply to the alpha-dog. Likewise to the seconds.
A dog that always read up and participate on our info.
A dog that don't twist the orders given.
A dog that play a lot and prefer to do so on our servers. (Be welcome to play on other servers too, but wear the tag and be a good ambassador).
A dog that always use our tag and don't mess with its appearance.
A dog that ensure easy availability for dogs communication.
A dog that do his/her best to give dogs good reputation.
A dog that are friendly and well behaving.
A dog that always greet when arriving and say goodbye when leaving.
In the end: A dog that are merely a pleasing dog causing no extra worries!
This must be shown over a fair amount of time.

(Aspen can talk to the Alpha-dog if special needs on the German server regarding more or less op's (mods in that case)).
