Super Mario and Donkey Kong Game Pieces

Alrighty, let's roll.
As this is the biggest one of my mod things, I will add it here.
I am planning an overhaul on everything with th suggestions people gave,

-No more bases: We seriously can add our own and they are een bothering me now.
-Some new pieces: Will end being mostly new items, as Im trying to maintain things in small groups, so if for example I add Zelda pieces, i might as well make a Zelda category.

But here come the questions:

I can edit the models and many are edited to remove unused meshes and fix errors here and there, with a tiny minority made by me ages ago. So I can change some aspects of them. I had an idea but I dont know if people will enjoy it. My idea is to make a "team color" of sorts. As the models are out of their bases, I can separate for example Luigi green shirt and hat and make them white with shadows and colourable. Same with all the plumbers, princesses and with some creativity other characters. Also other workshop items around. I dont know if its a good idea to, but maybe someone will want to color the entire piece blue for some arcane reason, so I asking the people here about it.

Should I delete the old bois? I mean, they are useful, but many of the new pieces will be alike, but without a base. basing is like two clicks away, and that will clean some space in my steam cloud I bet.

Where should I start? Pretty straightforward. Where should I start in this mess?

What other franchises should I poke? For reasons I will have a ton of time this semester, so I can try my hand around. As Said in the trainers thing, no pokemons, its seriously a lot of work and my perfectionism will make me want to move them into a proper battle position or someting. Also ones that already have already convertable material are best as Im not the best modeler around.

Any other suggestions and critiques are welcome, and sorry for being so silent, I am working on other mods and had some rl isses earlier.

Removing the base might help fix the problem of the pieces having a big invisible model box. When I tried placing the models next to each other, it didn't work and there was big empty space around them. So that's a plus that you plan to work on that. :D

About your question: Being able to color a Koopa's Shell is great and could save you a lot of time having to upload multiple models with different colored shells.

Maybe you could start with the simpler models, like Bob-Omb and Boo and work yourself up.
