I actually dont recall why I set that to be the case, however I speculate it's part of the backstory and with how you have the best possible start with this option it's likely to give you some sort of challenge. It's easy to remove however, just open the editor and go under liar's curse. You'll see the bounty listed clearly and you can simply delete it. If other people agree that it shouldnt exist and that it's too cumbersome I will happily remove it for you!
