Suggestions
If you've got a suggestion, please flesh it out as much as possible in a reply for me, if it seems like something within my skill level, I'll see about making it. I am not a master modder though, by any means. Stuff like, starting research, clothes, weapons, starting location, money, background, pets, slaves, etc etc.

How about a Upstart bandit king start. Some bandit leader decides he wants to be king of all the bandits, have him with ok gear and stats and maybe 5 or 6 people in his group.

Could have it where he has a couple guys from the any ons the bandit factions so it seems like he is already making a name for himself and people are joining.

Not sure how much detail you are wanting for it but kinda the story in my head for a Start i was trying to make lol.

The Cult of Tranquility
A mix of races that shun the violence of the world and now seek to build a refuge of their own safe from the violence they have seen tear their families and loved ones from the world. Finding refuge on the outskirts of the Great Desert the travelers pay tribute to the world and set off into the unknown searching for a better life to live.
Starting Out:
30-40 Greenlanders/Scorchlanders (no cannibals don't think they would ever be anything but violent)
20-30 Hivers mainly laborers as they would be fed up with the toil of working, some princes tired or defending their colonies (maybe some soldiers but i think their breeding would remove the urge for this groups goal)
10 Shek banished from their homes for their thoughts
1-8 Skeletons (varies on the programming of each)
Relations would be slightly negative with Sheks for the nature of this group, Traders Guild/Hive would be positive as the group requires to trade often, Slavers would disdain us but not hate us as we buy slaves (to free them)

Another Option
Pretty much the nobodies start with 255 people
Instead of having nothing the group is fleeing a city destroyed by the Holy Nation
As such the group would be of all races and skills would vary throughout
(ensures players half a whole list of options they can explore in the game)
Most likely would start near a waystation west or south of the HN

So as a basic understanding of what I know how to do mod wise would be to pick a predefined location and tell x, y, z, etc to all start there in a group with a, b, and c items. j, k, l research, etc. While I can pick their traits and personalities to a decent extent, most of what you described there would be an RP experience rather than a modding experience. You form that story, but it is possible to make you start with 30-40 random greenlanders, 20-30 random hivers, 10 random shek, 1-8 random skeletons. Relations are doable as well, but I doubt they'd matter between your own party members.

The second option you proposed would be a lot easier to do, and honestly more comparable to what this mod does as it's simply a frame work for your RP experience, and isn't meant to define your rp. I'm sure I could do something like 255 people but with all randoms. Maybe use a percentage or something. Opinions?

Yea for the second option I was thinking just a catch all of various people with different skill levels so you can expand into what you want from there.

As for the first I wrote most of that in as filler for the start description but simply put yes the various number of each group starting at a certain location with some stats. The items can be to your judgement for both.

The relations thing makes is just cause the Shek would be annoyed at you so its easier to show that if there a physical sign eg relations

well, unfortunately I'm not in a position to update my mod as of right now. But, I'm gonna add you and we can discuss it further and get a better understanding of what we're wanting here. I can tell you that it'll probs be the second option that is more within my skill frame.

@Beserker, as you are aware I have finished a WIP of your idea, thanks to the communication you and I have had. We're both pretty sure it's a good interpetation of it. All suggestions are welcome. Thank you Beserker for The Cult of Tranquility. Matching fairly close to his first suggestion, I think we're all in for some fun now.

About "the clan of nobodies" one - How did you modify the ammount of people you start with?
sudokek  [developer] 2 Mar, 2018 @ 10:13am
I just made a group that had a bunch of people that spawn in it. A bunch of nobodies. Was pretty straight forward. Just mess around with it, you'll see what I mean in no time. It's very easy.

Still taking suggestions?
If so,

[Relic Skeleton]

You reboot after being uncovered by a massive duststorm in the middle of the Great Desert. Though missing both arms, it seems most of your memory files are intact. You were part of a dig site, excelling in manual labor. There seems to be a few building materials dug up as well. You add them to your inventory, there still might be some use for these.

I don't know if I could actually make them not have arms. That would require changing a lot of core game files, no? Did I misunderstand you?

I could probably have a skeleton wake up in the middle of a desert. But the missing arms thing probably isn't possible with my skill.

Why not just use one of the builder starts that are already part of the game? A lot of your suggestion to me genuinely sounds like backstory. Any of the characters could have a lot of backstory. You could try that professor start I made. They're good at base building. Idk how much material they have tho to start.

Excuse me do you think you could try to add maybe another spawn point for the empire of nobody. I like play as them because it makes you like to risk things but maybe 1 or 2 more spawn points would help it. :steamhappy: Thank you for this mod I love it :steamhappy:

Is there anywhere specific you'd like? Glad you like it! I spent a reasonable amount of time thinking up stuff and trying to make sure the starts make sense to some degree.

It's funny, I've never even tried Empire of Nobody in a real game. I always play the bounty hunter one cause I can actually fight stuff w/o the early game grind. Also, idk why I even bothered w/ the shameless plugs. I might go through and remove those. The discord I have is pretty mediocre tbqh, and they just feel out of place and no one cares about them anyways.

I am not good at really picking locations. but maybe in other kingdoms domains or atleast in other locations like what the kenshi wiki has marked down for locations. I just love playing as them mostly because it is challange to feed 200+ people.
sudokek  [developer] 15 Jan, 2019 @ 8:27pm
I picked a few locations at random w/o much thought besides not picking ones that say cannibal. Let me know how it works for you! I also added a super brutal start that I doubt anyone will thrive with.

Removed all the shameless plugs in the mod too cause they were stupid.
