Visentinel had you shut off turret and a minute later a crash?
Were there any other active turrets?
I have had this crash once, and could not reproduce it, if you can let me know!

right after placing the turret I CTD'd and got the same error that vis got

Still happening, though it actually showed up for a few moments before CTD.

Same issue here with missing the ui controls for min/max distance and strength

I too have issues with The sliders not being present only vanilla, but small turrets have them for some reason.

try and reorder your mod list, and remove cache from
%AppData%\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Storage

Just testing the tractor beam (small grid version). When it first shoot at a target, energy consuption goes to 100 and the only way to get rid of it is destroying the tractor beam (putting it of has no effect). (default params settings for the tractor beam).
