Bug Reports
Noone reports any bugs, maybe this thread will somehow help players to report anything?

When people report bug then info listed there would be useful (providing at least some of those is good)
  • Operating system (win, linux, mac etc)

  • Version of game (You don't need to say number, "Current" or "Beta <nameofbeta>" is enough)

  • Is it singleplayer or multiplayer? (If multi then host option/dedicated? Did you join or you host?)

  • Do you use other mods? Maybe previously used some mods on this world? (List of mods will help too :D)

  • If you used mods previously and disabled them then "modmappings.xml" might be useful, you will find it there:

    C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\ProjectorGames\FortressCraft\Worlds

    There you will see folders with names of your worlds, inside you will find "modmappings.xml".

  • The info in the "output_log.txt", this file is located:
    64 bit:
    Steam\SteamApps\common\FortressCraft\64\FC_64_Data

    32 bit:
    Steam\SteamApps\common\FortressCraft\32\FortressCraft_Data

    No idea where it is on mac/linux.

  • Are you able to reproduce bug on other world or only this one has it?
    Does the bug persist on your world after restart of game?



















Currently known bugs:
IMPORTANT BUGS:
- In p20 the special items (pings, upwards, placeable, explosive) were totally reworked, because of this those items don't work on p19 and older versions.


Other bugs:
- Many items don't have icons (crafting tabs don't have them too)
Officially your own icons aren't supported.
And I would be too lazy to create my own icons :D

- Special non-ore pings work randomly, sometimes show all stuff they ping and sometimes only some of them while sometimes they show nothing.
You need to scan stuff before you can ping it. But it still will ignore some.
No idea how to fix.

- All new pings show their stuff/ore + show hardened resin.

- Scanner says that manually placed veins have 4095 (100 in case of Biomass and Crystal Deposit) ore per block. Actually they have only 2560 ore per block.
If I fix it then all GAC and advanced filters that use ore will break.

- This mod doesn't cooperate with the 2 of the graphic mods and breaks them (Colorless World and Snow!) because it makes organic detritus and rough hewn rock paintable and colorised.
It happens for both Fast Items and Fast Items - Creative, other Fast Items mods work.
If you want to test machines you can use "Cheat Manufacturing Recipes" mod

In case of the other 2 graphic mods (Dark Surface and Classic Grass) It changes the way they work. The surface will keep the textures (Dark textures and grass/dirt textures) but they will be colored. It looks funny.

- For people
I have picked up UNKNOWN CUBETYPE produced by trash and now it is stuck in my inventory!
Fix:
Build hopper, set it to vacuum, open inventory, press Q on UNKNOWN CUBETYPE and fast run away before you character picks it up.
Now this item is in hopper -> you can use convayors/tubes to bring it back to trash or to macerator.

- Antimatter Paste Grinder grinds 1 Construction Paste into 10 Construction Paste which turns into endless cycle.
Can't fix.

- Since p18 you can't build Hiveminds too close to CPH, they will dissapear.
You have to build them 128 blocks away from CPH!
It's in-game feature.

- Placeable versions of "Depleting" and "Depleted" ore veins grant research points if you have added this mod after the world was created. (I have decreased it to 1RP for each, I can't do more in current version)

seems like my maschines are not working while this mod is activ(smelters, refinery and so on), but its a great mode for testing and things

The problem is... everything works properly for me :/ (Tested ore smelter, steel alloy smelter, refinery and all those super smelter introduced in mod and 0 problems, I have created new world, default settings, only my mod)

I'm gonna edit the post and ask in it about
system, multiplayer/singleplayer, other mods, output log, possible to reproduce etc

the problem is while this mod is activ every ore mined is diferent than the others, i mean like every hopper contains 3 stacks of the same ore but only one will be transfered by filters the others are blocked by it, so need to loot every hopper ingame that contains ore and refill them so my sorting system will work again, once i took it out and put it back in that stack of whatever is passing the sorting system but i need to do it for every hopper conected to a filter or even a minecart input.

Managed to reproduce this with advanced filters,(normal filters worked perfectly) it is caused by the fact that old ores don't update to mod ;c (in my mod you can place ores, extract them without head cutters and they have huge veins etc)

No idea why there is third stack (had this one too) but taking the new ore and setting advanced filter to use it was taking 2 stacks ;d (It didn't take the old one :/)
Also not sure how sensitive are advanced filters o-o
For sure they check more info than just name of the ore.

This issue would appear on some of my mods -> no idea how to fix... maybe it would require the plugins?

I will add it to known bugs.

i dont know if this is a bug due to your mod or something else but its only happened since adding your mods.
I have some refineries making high energy fuel and i have just noticed that they are not consuming the empty canisters nor the biomass.
I then pulled it all down and rebuilt and with just the refinery and one hopper, i set the refinery to high energy fuel and it starts producing fuel without ingredients.

I am running latest (as of this post)

All of your "fast items" mods installed and active

I havnt tried in a fresh game as i thought i'd ask first while i begin a fresh game and test it again.

It's feature in the mod :D
"Decreased prices in ore smelter and refinery controller." (It's in this looong list ;-; Hard to find)
Currently fuel is totally free ;D (probably I have forgot to set other stuff in the refinery to free)

Anyway I'm glad you like it!

edit:
Once p18 beta gets more stable I will update mod.
Then everything in refinery will be free :D
