Me and my friends are unable to begin powering the generators, do we need to complete something before it or could this be a glitch?

Sometimes the buttons around the generators (invisible blocks that you actually click) can be buggy! It's not my fault, it's because of the Source Engine! Restart the map or spam the generator while spinning around it! Sorry, can't fix that!

I found this bug myself with friends. Didn't even see someone reported this problem!
