How to tame Alpha's

I tried to tame an alpha megatherium and put a taming potion with eternal aplha meat in him but he didn't tame .
Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug ?
p.s. I'm playing singleplayer

There was a bug with the dino settings (foods its supposed to eat) ,a fix will be in next update, ty for the report
